WELL WORTH THE WAIT! HUGH MILES’S BRILLIANT NEW TV SERIES NOW HAS TERRESTRIAL AIRING

"Catching the Impossible" showing on Channel 4

Hugh Miles, one of Britain’s leading angling and wildlife film-makers, spent many years filming Bernard Cribbens and Martin Bowler in their quest for the "impossible" – fishing for, and catching, specimen game and coarse fish in the British isles.

And Hugh spent almost as much time trying to persuade terrestrial television channels that this series would attract a wide and committed audience. At last he’s done it, and "Catching the Impossible" (the title says it all) is broadcast weekly on Channel 4 from now until end July.

"I am delighted," Miles declares. "This is a real chance to raise the profile of angling and our freshwater fish to the wider audience that terrestrial TV provides."

Paul Knight, Salmon & Trout Association (S&TA) CEO, adds: "Hugh and Bernard made a brilliant video for the Association that perfectly encapsulates their passion for the sport and the wider aquatic environment. Hugh’s marvellous new series is proof of his unrivalled skill as a visual chronicler of the wonders of Britain’s waterways, their fragile ecologies and the joy and appreciation of this environment that true anglers experience."

"Catching the Impossible" airs at 7a.m. on Channel 4 on the following Sundays:
