2021 annual fundraising auction
Your unbounded generosity has raised over £97,000 for wild fish!
With over 170 lots that celebrated fishing and everything it entails, there really was something for everyone in our 2021 annual fundraising auction.
The challenges facing freshwater have never been greater. The regulatory system put in place to protect our rivers is broken and as a result 86% of rivers in England are failing and every single one is polluted. While in Scotland, wild fish continue to suffer the impact of poorly regulated and poorly managed open-net salmon farms under a Scottish Government who has repeatedly missed warnings about the damage they cause.
We have been delighted and humbled by the open-handed response from all our supporters. The money you have helped raised will go towards our campaigning work that calls for the improved protection of wild fish, and their habitats.
Donors were unstinting in giving – and bidders were equally enthusiastic when it came to bidding!
When the auction closed on Sunday 3rd October at 8pm, the total amount raised was £97, 792 – a fantastic result and entirely due to your support.
Our warmest and most grateful thanks to everyone who participated to make this, our most important fund-raising event, our best year yet!
We rely on your support to protect wild fish and the places they live.
By donating or joining as a member you will be making a huge contribution to the fight to protect the UK's waters and ensure a sustainable future for wild fish.
